Blackmail: Next week may be called “kids week” at Ganim’s Store but there are amusements on offer for both young and old. First, Ganim’s Store will be hosting a variety of workshops for children held by four Melbourne artists. Each workshop involves learning to make things, encouraging children to explore their creative imagination, and having a good ol’ time with other kool kids. The workshops run for an hour each and cost $15 per child.
Workshops:
1. Lucy Folk – Pasta Making Workshop, Tuesday 25th September, 10.30am – 11.30am
Melbourne jeweller, Lucy Folk’s childhood was spent behind the scenes of her father’s cafe where she made pasta necklaces and hung cherries off her ears. She now spends her days turning delicacies we love to eat into precious things we love to wear.
2. Samuel Barnes – Bruno Munari Masks Workshop, Thursday 27th September, 10.30am – 11.30am
Samuel Barnes is a freelance designer who prefers reading books and teaching workshops to making business cards. When he grows up he wants to be like Bruno Munari.
3. Harvest Textiles – Potato Print Making Workshop, Friday 28th September, 10.30am – 11.30am
The four ladies from harvest textiles share a passion for quality, handmade textiles, the joy of learning, community and sustainability. Together they run screen printing workshops, create their own line of products and curate artist exhibitions and happenings at their East Brunswick Studio.
4. Micheal Strownix – Potato Sculpture Workshop, Monday 1st October, 10.30am – 11.30am
Melbourne artist, stylist Micheal Strownix creative magic transforms everything he touches from styling parties, winning the Chelsea Flower Show to creating Mexican inspired sculptures for Nellie Castan Gallery.

Second, from 25th September – 8th October Ganim’s Store will present MR POTATO HEAD an in-store exhibition of 40 Mr potato head toy’s interpreted and re-created by some a mix of notable Melbourne artists, photographers and musicians.Artist’s include:
