Christian Patterson has a new project, Redheaded Peckerwood, it consists of an exhibition and a book. All shots are from the real badlands in Nebraska and Wyoming where Charles Raymond Starkweather and his 14-year-old girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate went a two-month murder spree road trip. Their exploits were made into the film Badlands by Terrence Malick.

Here the photographer discusses his work and process in conjunction with Crime Unseen exhibition at the MoCP. Worth noting that for three years he was mentored by William Eggleston.
