This is the documentary The Shock Doctrine based on the book by Naomi Klein. It’s got kind of a made for television vibe, and it’s definitely no substitute for the book which was one of the most shocking books i’ve ever read, but i’s a good start.

Our societies have become addicted to extreme risk in finding new energy, new financial instruments and more … and too often, we’re left to clean up a mess afterward. After reading No Logo and The Shock Doctrine i’ve grown a massive respect for this woman. She’s an amazing researcher, and she’s great at finding the really important data that tells the real story of what’s really going on.
