A ‘mini movie’ by Tee Mac

Thanks to Bobby G I’ve just learned that there’s another Tmac out there, and it’s not Tracy McGrady, the average basketballer.

It’s Tee-Mac, a homegrown Melbourne rapper.

Check out his music videos for Big Paper, Hard Hitta, and his live performance at the Holi Festival.
For me though his best track is Stay Positive, which truly helped me out of an emotional tailspin this afternoon.

Check out his website or twitter @teemurdamac

Here’s a GoPro video of the spire mounted atop 1WTC.
It’s a fantastic angle.
I also like listening to the workers and that they wear their hard hats backwards.

It was enough to inspire me to re-watch easily the best short film of all time: High Steel

IF YOU’VE NOT SEEN THIS THEN DAMN WELL GET INVOLVED!

I’ve scoured the internet for any music by Bruce Mackay who wrote that ridiculously amazing song… with no luck.

Also Don Franks should narrate all films from now on without exception.

A nice video short from AIGA profiling intriguing designer Stefan Sagmeister.

There’s another one on H&FJ’s Jonathan Hoefler and Tobias Frere-Jones that is excellent too.
‘It’s Too Steven Seagal, Not Steve McQueen Enough’

Some sneaky Spanish devil has uploaded Shawn Christensen’s Oscar winning short film Curfew. Some of the imagery is a bit on the nose but it’s definitely worth 19 minutes of your life. Watch it while it lasts.

Little Fatima Ptacek’s dance scene is pretty damn awesome.
(Hashtag dropping babies)

Here’s Wes Anderson’s new short for Prada.
Don’t care about those twin frenchies but gee whiz, Lea Seydoux is some sort of lady…
Episode two is here.

Ricky Gervais brings back David Brent for a new 10-Minute short

Look out for ‘Serpent who gaurds the gates of hell’

Matthew Frost directs a short for the line Viva Vena! that rips the lame fashion hipster chick lifestyle.

Dimitri is hereWell this is some kind of perfection. Nice work Matthew Frost.

The Eagleman Stag is a 9-minute long stop motion animated film by Michael Please, it won a BAFTA in 2011.

It is a darkly comic take on a man’s obsession with the quickening perception of time that faces us as we age and his attempts to counter this effect.

This is new short entitled Bonobo : Cirrus by Cyriak is pretty damn incredible, not in love with the tune, but the animation would have taken so long… wow.
